Outdoor Fire Pit Construction

We just finished this custom outdoor fire pit for our clients in Weaverville NC.
It sits on a new extension of the backyard patio area with amazing views of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
We constructed the pit using local granite and capped it with Bluestone.

We laid out the structure for the fire pit using concrete cap block. The blocks were mortared to the newly poured concrete slab and wrapped with wire mesh.
Then we veneered the blocks with local re-claimed granite.

We left some ventilation holes at the the bottom of the fire pit to allow oxygen to get to the fire.
We will extend the existing flagstone patio around the new pit.

We capped the fire pit with cut Bluestone.
Using a string and a piece of rebat set in the middle of the pit, we were able to create consistent lines as we cut the cap stones.

The finished fire pit.

Vanishing Waterfall Asheville, NC

Just finished this vanishing waterfall in Asheville this week. It was a fun feature to build. 60 ft long with 15 ft of total drop in the falls.

We call this a vanishing waterfall because there is no pond at the bottom. All the water needed to run the falls is held in an underground tank. Approximately 1200 gallons for this system.

The tank is buried near the bottom of the falls. We installed a 10,000 gallon per hour pump in the tank to recirculate the water. Whe the system is off all the water flows into the tank through a 4 inch line connected to the vanishing pool at the bottom of the system.

This allows us a clean housing for the pump and easy maintenance for the system.

Vanishing Waterfalls are great for our clients who want to enjoy the sounds and ambiance of a waterfall without the maintenance of a traditional pond system.

Give us a call for more info.

Custom Rock Fire Pit in Hendersonville, NC

Here is a rustic 'mountain style' fire pit and custom dry laid flagstone patio we just finished in Hendersonville, Nc.

We set three large Tennessee fieldstone boulders around the pit for seating. As well as some cut wood rounds, harvested from the property, for movable seats or for a place to set a beverage.

We hired Goodman Plumbing of Asheville, Nc to install the gas line for this feature.
We chose Goodman Plumbing after hearing from other clients and local contractors that they were extremely professional and do top quality work. They did not disappoint!
They were on time and finished the job efficiently.
I will definitely use them again!
